The NOAA Observing System Integrated Analysis (NOSIA-II) is a capability used to document the relationship between available observing systems and their impact on NOAA’s diverse services and scientific objectives. Understanding the relationship between the cost of available data sources and their impact on mission outcomes is fundamental to informing current and future observing system investments and managing NOAA’s observing system architecture.

METRO Access to NOAA SSMC-1
NOAA's Silver Spring Campus is located directly adjacent to the Silver Spring METRO station. Board the METRO Red Line towards Glenmont or Silver Spring and debark at the Silver Spring station, which is two stops after the Fort Totten station. Once off the METRO, use the escalators following the sign to "Buses, South Side Colesville Road". Once you reach the bottom, exit towards the left. The building you see/face is SSMC-1, 1335 East West Highway. Enter the building take the elevator to the fifth (5th) floor. On the fifth floor, the TPIO office space is located on the south side of the building.
From Downtown Washington D.C. via 16th Street
Take 16th Street North towards Silver Spring, MD and turn right on Colesville Rd. At the next traffic signal turn right on East-West Highway (MD 410 East). The NOAA campus is on the left-hand side of the street, first building. There are two public parking garages on the left. Please be sure to park in a metered space that does not requiring a "P.C.S. Permit." All public spaces are metered at a rate of $0.70 per hour. You will find SSMC1 on the left-hand side of the street at the corner of East-West Highway and Colesville Road. Enter the building take the elevator to the fifth (5th) floor. On the fifth floor, the TPIO office space is located on the south side of the building.
